Came here to have dinner with my family because my in laws are tired of eating steaks for dinner. We ordered Vietnamese pho, vermicelli, and a rice dish. The pho tasted okay, not as authentic as the one we had in Los Angeles. Their vermicelli on the other hand tasted pretty good. I got the one with various of meat (combo) & it came with A LOT OF meat!! I ordered their thai tea and thought it was just okay. They could do better if the Thai tea was a little but more chill. It tasted like room temperature when I furnished got it since the ice hasn't kicked in yet.

I wish I had ordered a Thai dish instead of Vietnamese because the staff there dressed in their traditional Thai outfit. I feel that their Thai dish might have been authentic & delicious compared to the Vietnamese dishes.

Service here was okay. I am so glad that I cleaned their high chair with baby wipes before putting my baby on it. It was super dirty.

Parking: they have a small lot but the entrance is somewhat blocked due to some sort of road construction. Street parking is also available (we completely missed the parking entrance & parked on the street.

$2.75 for translation fee if using a credit/debit card!?!?  Forget the f--k it!

So that's all I could say!

I was in Santa Rosa for some business as usual. I've been going to Santa Rosa for 30 years, and I had never been to this place. I went there with my nephew, a proud Pho enthusiast. We did the highly scientific process of Yelping nearby restaurants, and history was made.

A lot of reviews have bashed this place  because of its appearance. That's stupid. It looks like a house converted into a restaurant. It's hard to tell where it is. Who cares.

The interior is fine, don't know what people are complaining about. I wanted some noodles. There are plenty of snooty spots around here.

Staff was friendly. Food was amazing. I got the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef soup). It smelled great. It looked great. There was a nice sheen of chili oil on top. I threw in the mint and poured some more chili paste and got down to business. The broth was amazing. It was crazy spicy (I did carpet bomb my bowl with chili paste). I would go back for a second round right now. Whenever I'm hungry in SR or cruising down 101, getting me some Noodle Palace.

Although this is a South Eastern Eatery the menu here can be misleading. The owners and style of food are Cambodian yet their menu uses Vietnamese description which can be completely different. For example, their menu listed "Bun Bo Hue" which is supposed to be the Vietnamese Spicy Noodle Soup with different cuts of beef, pork blood, tripe, etc. Instead the one here is very on dimensional with just one type of beef and with Cambodian inspired spices vs the authentic Vietnamese style. Granted the soup was very good but I was expecting a "Bun Bo Hue"  The fish cake had good flavor but unfortunately was a bit on the over fried  as they came out a bit too hard. The Goi Cuon was different as it was lacking some key ingredients. Maybe it's Cambodian style but again, don't call it "Goi Cuon"

Overall this is not a bad place, but make sure you're coming here for Cambodian food in a menu with Vietnamese dish name description.

If I had written a review in 2011, (why didn't I write a review in 2011?!) it would have been five stars: delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. But now, in 2019 draw a big fat permanent sharpie line through "reasonable prices". They charge extra for every single thing they can. I went here last month and when I asked to see a breakdown of how one order of pho, one order of spring rolls, a Thai Tea, and a banh mi totaled nearly $40, I saw this:

-The prices on the menu aren't current. Everything seems to be a dollar (or two!) more
-Paying nearly $9 for spring rolls is a mistake I will not make again
-Thai Tea is $4 if I recall correctly. Again, way too many dollars!
-$.50 charge for dipping sauce. $.50 to $1.00 charge for each to-go container!! This is absurd and not posted anywhere on the menu or otherwise!
-$3.00 charge to pay with a card.

This used to be one of my very favorite restaurants that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. I no longer recommend this place to anyone unless I want them to feel tricked by the hidden fees. These people should start a credit card company.
